  • Is Shitcoin Radar’s Free Beta Safe? Here’s Exactly How It Works

If you’ve ever hesitated before trying a “free” crypto tool — wondering what the catch is, whether it wants your wallet, your seed phrase, or your email — that instinct is a good one. Most free tools in crypto do want something from you. Shitcoin Radar’s Beta doesn’t.

    Our 3 Nos

No account. No wallet connection. No email.
That’s our rule for the free Beta — and it’s also how you can spot a scammer. Our team will never DM you first on X, Telegram, or any social platform. We will never ask you to register, log in, or send your email or personal wallet address just to use the scanner. If anyone claiming to be “Vetting Smart support” reaches out to you first asking for any of that, it isn’t us — please report and block them.

Here’s exactly what the free Beta does and doesn’t do, so you can decide for yourself instead of taking our word for it.

No account. No wallet connection. No email.

You open the page and it scans. That’s it. There’s no sign-up form, no “connect wallet” button, and nobody ever asks for your seed phrase or private key — because the tool never needs them. It only reads public on-chain data that anyone can already see on a block explorer like Solscan. It has no way to touch your funds, because it never asks to.

Built on trusted, verifiable data sources

Our primary contract-safety data comes from GoPlus Security — a Web3 security provider whose APIs process tens of millions of requests a day and are integrated directly into many major wallets and exchanges. For tokens launched on pump.fun, we also factor in bonding-curve progress as part of the liquidity picture. We’re not asking you to trust an unnamed “proprietary algorithm” — every data source we rely on is a real, independently verifiable company you can look up yourself.

The optional Helius key — and why it’s safe to add

For Solana tokens, brand-new contracts sometimes aren’t indexed yet by GoPlus. When that happens, the tool can fall back to checking the blockchain directly through Helius — but only if you choose to add your own free API key.

Before you consider that, it’s worth knowing exactly who Helius is, because it’s a very different thing from “some random API you found in a Telegram group.” Helius is a well-established Solana infrastructure provider, SOC 2 certified, and its RPC infrastructure powers some of the biggest names in the Solana ecosystem — including wallets like Phantom, exchanges like Backpack, trading platforms like Jupiter, and even the blockchain-analytics firm Chainalysis. In other words, it’s exactly the kind of legitimate, verifiable infrastructure our scoring engine is designed to help you filter for — not the kind of unverified, anonymous link you should ever be cautious of.

To make sure you always land on the real thing and not a phishing look-alike, the only official Helius signup link is:

dashboard.helius.dev/dashboard — bookmark it, or type it in manually rather than clicking a link from anyone claiming to send it to you.

Once you have a key, here’s exactly what happens to it: it’s typed into your own browser and used only for requests your own browser makes directly to Helius. It’s never sent to our server, never shared with other visitors, and it disappears the moment you reload the page. We simply don’t collect it — and it’s entirely optional. The tool works without one; it just falls back to fewer data points for very new Solana tokens.

Nothing is stored, tracked, or sold

Your scan history and your Watchlist live only in your browser tab’s memory for as long as that tab stays open. Close the tab or reload the page, and it’s gone — not archived on a server somewhere, just gone. There’s nothing to leak because there’s nothing being kept.

    Why scanning even matters

New tokens are launched by the thousands every day, and a meaningful share of them are built to fail on purpose — disabled sell functions, hidden mint authorities, liquidity that can vanish the moment it’s convenient for the deployer. Spotting these red flags manually means checking the contract, the liquidity lock, the holder distribution, and the trading history separately, every single time. Shitcoin Radar automates that check and scores the result — not to predict where a token is going, but to filter out the ones that were never safe to begin with.

The scoring rules are fixed, not a black box

Every score is built from five transparent categories, each with its own fixed point value. Nothing is hidden behind a mysterious “AI algorithm” you have to trust blindly — here’s exactly what each one checks.

    🔴 Contract Safety — 40 points

Checks whether the token can actually be sold (not a honeypot), whether mint and freeze authority have been revoked, whether ownership is renounced, whether liquidity is locked or burned, and how concentrated the supply is in a single wallet. Certain findings — a confirmed honeypot, a disabled sell function, a hidden mint authority, an active blacklist function — trigger an instant Hard Veto, rejecting the token outright regardless of its total score.

    💧 Liquidity Depth & Stability — 20 points

Tracks how much real liquidity backs the token (or, for pump.fun tokens pre-migration, an estimate from bonding curve progress), and whether it’s growing, holding steady, or being quietly pulled between scans.

    💸 Money Flow — 25 points

Looks at whether buy pressure is healthy and, across multiple scans, whether it’s genuinely sustained rather than a single artificial spike.

    📈 Controlled Momentum — 10 points

Rewards price movement at a controlled, accumulation-style pace, and penalizes sudden spikes that look more like a local top than genuine demand.

    🌐 Identity — 5 points

A small, intentional weighting for having a social presence or a clear project narrative — kept low because a website and a Twitter account are cheap to fake.

Why does a token’s verdict sometimes change between scans instead of showing up confident right away? A single snapshot can’t tell you whether buying pressure is real or a momentary spike. The tool deliberately withholds its strongest labels until it’s seen the same token across 2–3 scans and confirmed the trend is holding — built to filter out fake pumps, not to be slow for its own sake.

    So why is it free?

Because it’s a Beta — we’d rather have real traders stress-testing it and telling us what’s wrong than launch it quietly behind a paywall. If you find it useful, our paid Premium and Lifetime plans add extras like unlimited watchlists and priority access to new chains. But the core scanning tool costs you nothing to try, with nothing hidden underneath it.

Still cautious? Good — that’s exactly the instinct this tool is built to support. Read the full Shitcoin Radar Beta User Guide for a complete walkthrough, or just open the tool and see for yourself. No sign-up required. And whatever score you see, we’d still encourage a quick second look on DexScreener before you trade — one more independent source never hurts.

Not investment advice. Shitcoin Radar scores public on-chain data using fixed, transparent rules — it does not predict prices, execute trades, or hold your funds. Always do your own research before trading. Cryptocurrency, and new/low-cap tokens in particular, carry a very high risk of loss.
